In a world where talent is evenly distributed but opportunity is not, Carver is closing the gap. Carver is the largest provider of after-school programs for middle and high school students in Norwalk.

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) is a leading, nonprofit human service organization committed to building better lives by increasing the social and emotional well-being of our clients. We provide strength-based, solution focused services that meet the needs of our clients throughout the life cycle including children, families, youth, adults and seniors.

Domus is a human services nonprofit which opened in 1972 and serves more than 1,100 of the most struggling youth in Stamford and New Haven, CT. Our overarching goal is to create the conditions necessary for them to get on a path toward health and opportunity so they can succeed in school and ultimately lead satisfying and productive lives.

Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education (NGTE), founded in 1995 by Art Goldblatt, has grown from working with 25 youth to touching the lives of 475 kids in 2016. Our growth has been steady as we respond to the expanding needs of our children and adjust to the evolution of the community.

Many of the Educational Programs we present here at The Maritime Aquarium also can be presented at your school through our Traveling Teacher initiative. A program's availability as a Traveling Teacher offering is noted in its program description (in the "by Grade" listings).

Future 5 helps motivated low-income high school students in Stamford connect to their full potential leading to financial independence and productive citizenship.

The Norwalk Housing Authority provides a range of educational opportunities for residents of assisted housing in Norwalk including free after school programs and enrichment programs for children. In addition, the dream of a college education is now possible for Norwalk Housing Authority residents, thanks to the Norwalk Housing Foundation College Scholarship Program.

In the project-based Horizons approach, kids "learn by doing." They become inspired as they explore reading, math, science, music, theater, art, swimming, and other activities that cultivate creativity and leadership. And it works. Once a student is enrolled in Horizons, anything seems possible.

To broaden and enrich the educational opportunities for children ages ten and under and enhance their understanding of the world. The museum seeks to create an environment that inspires lifelong learning and supports parents, caregivers and educators as facilitators of children's explorations.

Our mission is to effectively address the causes and complexities of the homeless and working poor by providing shelter, food, clothing, case management services, treatment services, transitional planning for short and long term goals, subsidized housing, education, employment, and a path towards independence and success.

The Summer Bridge Program
The Summer Bridge Math Program is funded entirely through donations made to the NCC Foundation by local corporations, foundations and individuals. It provides a free, four-week intensive Math program for incoming freshman students who have registered at NCC and received low math scores on the placement test.
